The former headmaster of the Hebrew school in Warsaw, Chaim Aron Kaplan, called the Judenrats a disgrace to the Warsaw community in his journal. He also repeatedly condemned the criminal activities of the Jewish police, writing in his memoirs published under the title "Scroll of Agony. The Warsaw Diary of Chaim A. Kaplan ":

The Jewish police, whose cruelty is no less than that of the Nazis, delivered more [Jews - editorial note] to the transfer point at Stawki Street than was the norm that the Jewish Council had committed to
The Nazis are pleased that the extermination of the Jews is being carried out with all necessary efficiency. This act is done by Jewish slaughterers.
It is the Jewish police who are the most cruel towards the convicts.
The Nazis are satisfied with the work of the Jewish police, this scourge of the Jewish organism.
Yesterday, August 3rd, they destroyed Zamenhofa and Pawia streets.
SS murderers stood guard while the Jewish police worked in the courtyards. It was slaughter in the right style - they had no mercy, even for children and babies. All of them, without exception, were taken to the Gates of Death.
