Stefan Chaskielewicz about Jews who survived the holocaust

The Second World War - Testimonies

The famous mathematician and economist of Jewish origin Stefan Chaskielewicz wrote in a shocking diary about Jews who saved themselves from the Holocaust thanks to wealth and property stolen from other Jews at the time of their victims greatest danger.

Among the Jews who were helped to survive by having more funds, there were former functionaries of the Jewish police and even the famous Gestapo branch in the ghetto. These people were caught during the displacement action. It is difficult to give any precise figures here. I can only repeat the statement of two former policemen who said in my presence after the war that at least 200 of their colleagues were saved.
